Okonomiyaki Recipe

Okonomiyaki is a typical food originating from Japan. Okonomiyaki is made from a variety of food ingredients that cook together (similar to vegetable bakwan in Indonesia).

Okonomiyaki is derived from the word okonomi which means “what you like” or “what you want” and yaki which means “toasted” or “cooking”.


  • 70 grams of Beef Bacon
  • 300 grams of cabbage
  • 1 Leek Stem
  • 4 Chicken Egg Grains
  • Right amount of oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 English Soy Sauce Spoons
  • 2 Tablespoons of Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Sugar Teaspoon
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Seaweed / Seaweed to taste


1. Finely chop the cabbage, diagonally sliced ​​1 green onion, and thinly sliced ​​beef bacon.

2. Heat a frying pan for cooking and put beef bacon, 300 grams of cabbage, and scallions into the pan. Cook until the meat and vegetables are cooked and thoroughly mixed.

3. If it is done, let stand and cool it for a moment.

4. Divide the vegetable mixture into 2 portions and add 2 chicken eggs to each of the doughs. Don’t forget to add salt and pepper to taste. Beat until blended.

5. Heat a frying pan and spread with a little cooking oil so that the dough does not stick to the pan. Pour the mixture and cook using low heat for approximately 3 minutes. Then flipped or flipped and leave for 3 minutes.

6. If both sides are done lift and set aside first.

7. For the sauce, use 2 tablespoons of English soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce, and one teaspoon of sugar. Stir until evenly mixed.

8. Pour the sauce over the okonomiyaki and add mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and seaweed to taste.
